Valladolid vs Barcelona

Barcelona travel to the Estadio Jose Zorilla this weekend to face Valladolid as Quique Setien's side aim to keep alive their hopes of retaining the La Liga title.

The Blaugrana recorded a 1-0 win over city rivals Espanyol on Wednesday evening and know that they will need to win their remaining three games to stand any realistic chance of being champions.

Valladolid, meanwhile, are safe for another season and can enjoy the final few games of the campaign free from any pressure.

The Catalans have won just three of their last nine away matches in La Liga but bet365 offer them at 1/3 (1.33) to claim another victory.

Only bottom club Espanyol have won fewer home matches this season than Valladolid and the hosts are priced at 9/1 (10.00) to claim their fifth such triumph of the campaign, with the draw at 4/1 (5.00).

Valladolid vs Barcelona Team News

The Blaugrana will be without Ansu Fati as the teenage forward is suspended following his red card in midweek against Espanyol, whilst Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo and Frenkie De Jong all missed that game through injury and are doubtful here.

Valladolid will be missing Mohamed Salisu, Miguel de la Fuente and Michel Herrero who are all injured, although winger Oscar Plano will return from suspension.

Valladolid vs Barcelona Preview

Sergio Gonzalez's men have shown themselves to be a tough side to break down throughout the season.

Real Madrid needed a late goal to secure a 1-0 win on their visit to Valladolid while Atletico Madrid were held to a goalless draw, with plenty of the top teams in the division having struggled at the Estadio Jose Zorilla this term.

Barca will be hoping to recover some of the form they showed in their last away game at Villarreal where they played some of the best football of the season, yet Wednesday night saw them return to a more placid showing against Espanyol.

Setien's men have struggled badly to undo well-organised defences and Saturday's game could be another tight encounter against a strong defensive unit.
