PSG will visit Stade Brestois for Matchday 3 of 2021 Ligue 1 on Friday, August 20. Pochettino's team will want to get their third win of the season. Here, check out the probable lineups of both teams for this game.
Paris Saint Germain will come back to action on Friday, August 20 for Matchday 3 of Ligue 1 2021 against Brest. So far, Mauricio Pochettino’s team has lived up to the expectations that their signings have created despite Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos haven’t played yet.
After winning their first two games in Ligue 1 against Troyes and RC Strasbourg, now PSG will visit Stade Brestois, who saved themselves from relegation last season by only one point. Brest is coming into this game after drawing their first two matches against Olympique Lyon (1-1) and Rennes (1-1). On the other hand, PSG will want to keep going strong, as they are the main candidate for the title. While Messi, Ramos or Donnaruma haven’t had the chance to play with the team yet, Achraf Hakimi has been pivotal for the team so far and Wijnaldum already playing some minutes.

Brest probable lineup

‘Les Pirates’ have faced a difficult start of the season with credit, not succumbing against two strong teams. However, remaining unbeaten will be hard against PSG, even if the Parisians play without their biggest stars on the pitch.

Michel Der Zakarian will have left-back Jere Uronen, after he recovered from an ankle injury and has returned to the training. Midfielder Haris Belkebla is also coming off from an injury, but it's not sure that he will be available. This could be Brest lineup against PSG: Bizot; Pierre-Gabriel, Chardonnet, Brassier, Uronen; Honorat, Mbock, Belkebla, Faivre; Mounie, Cardona.

PSG projected lineup

It seems that fans have to wait a little bit longer for Lionel Messi’s debut with his new team, as it has been reported that he could play against Reims on August 29. On the other hand, Ramos is still in doubt after recovering from an injury.
Meanwhile, the international finalists such as Neymar, Leandro Paredes, Angel Di María, Verratti or Marquinhos are still training after arriving from vacations. So, Pochettino could go with the following lineup: Navas; Hakimi, Kehrer, Kimpembe, Diallo; Pereira, Herrera, Wijnaldum; Draxler, Icardi, Mbappe.
