Copa America 2021 begin

The Copa America 2021 will be the 47th edition of the oldest national team soccer tournament. For the second straight time, Brazil will host the competition. Here, find out when and where it will start.

Copa America 2021 will finally take place after being halted in 2020 due to the pandemic outbreak. Argentina and Colombia were expected to co-host the tournament, but neither of them seemed ready to organize it and Brazil were granted the hosting rights once again.

Not only we'll get to see the South American national teams taking the pitch in the hunt for such a traditional trophy, but the competition will also serve as a great way of preparing for the remaining fixtures of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualification

The last Copa America was a success, with crowded stadiums and plenty of emotions in every game. Not long after that, the continent's crown will be on the line once again, and everyone will be looking to dethrone Brazil, who claimed the title at home in 2019. As the tournament will get underway in a few months, let's take a look at the Copa America 2021 kickoff date and time.

The Copa America 2021 will begin on June 13 when Brazil and Venezuela face off at Estadio Mané Garrincha in Brasilia at 5 PM (ET). Following that game, Colombia and Ecuador will clash in Cuiabá at 8 PM (ET). From then on, the competition will continue its course until July 10 with the grand final.

Both matches will be for Group A, which also includes Peru, who will have a bye round that matchday. On the other hand, the first matches of Group A will be played the following day. The first of the two games to take part on June 14 will be between Argentina and Chile in Río de Janeiro at 5 PM (ET). Later, Paraguay and Bolivia will face each other in Goiânia at 8 PM (ET). Uruguay, the other member of this group, will have to wait a couple of days to take the field. Here, check out the first games of each national team:
